Experience:
Working through this module gave me the full experience of conducting a research project from start to finish. I started by writing the proposal, which helped me define my topic clearly and understand what I really wanted to explore. Then, I reviewed different articles and research papers, which gave me a deeper look into what others have already done in this area. The most hands-on part was designing and distributing my survey. It wasn't always easy, but it taught me how to ask the right questions and how to interpret responses, especially when dealing with emotional topics. Recording the video and creating the slides also pushed me to think about how to present my ideas clearly and creatively.
Observations:
As I moved through each task, I noticed how everything was connected. A well-written proposal made it easier to build a strong literature review, and that review guided how I shaped my questions for the survey. I also noticed that digital animation really stands out when it comes to emotional impact. While reading through responses, I was surprised by how deeply people connected with certain scenes, characters, or even small moments in animated content. A lot of viewers mentioned things like colors, music, or silent gestures that stayed with them long after watching. This showed me that animation communicates feelings in ways that go beyond words.
Findings:
What I've taken away from this whole process is that animation isn't just something we watch, it's something we feel. The results of my research made it clear that digital animation is a powerful tool for storytelling because it combines so many elements at once: visuals, sound, movement, and emotion. I also learned that doing research takes a lot of careful planning, but also flexibility when things don't go as expected. Presenting my findings helped me realize how important it is to not only do the research, but to share it in a way that others can understand and connect with. Overall, I feel like I've grown a lot in how I think, research, and communicate ideas.
