Weekly Progress
Week 1: Course Introduction
During the first week of clas, Mr. Kamal showed us examples of the past students's work and walking us through the course overview. We learned what the semester would entail: first, we will work on basic 3D character movements like walking and jumping. Next, we will move on to more complex character actions, and other small-object interactions. Finally, we will explore camera movements and cinematorgraphy techniques.
Week 2: Blender Operations
In the second week, we dived straight into animation fundamentals. We started with simple exercises like animating a rolling ball. Mr. Kamal also walked us through essential Blender shortcuts.
Select all and press I = keyframes added.
Shift H= hide others
M = record the frame data.
In Class exercise: Bouncing Ball
In this exercise, we tried to create an animation of a bouncing ball. I found it quite difficult. Fortunately, with Mr. Kamal's help, I was taught steps by steps on how to use Blender, a software I never used before, including how the ball rolls while bouncing.
